About Our Firm

How It All Began

Our history can be traced back to 1958 when the company was called Mardling Bishop & Co. 

It was bought by John Bannerman in 1966 where it soon registered as a Lloyd's Insurance Broker. In 2007 John Bannerman Ltd. merged with Rendell & Partners to become what it is today, Bannerman Rendell Ltd.

We are an independently owned Lloyd's of London Insurance Broker.  We have developed expertise across a wide range of insurances including Marine Cargo and Small Craft, Property and Casualty, Professional Risks, Specie, Personal Household, Property Owners, Personal Accident and Travel.
